The Oberthur Cash Protection solution comprises several high technology systems that are fully programmed and under permanent surveillance.
The vehicle : is unmarked, soft-skinned and equipped with a modular structure adapted to the size of the delivery route for the storage and the securization of the containers. This structure, combined with an on-board computer and terminal, identifies each container and its destination.
The station : is a piece of equipment with variable capacity, designed to manage the Oberthur Cash Protection containers by placing, opening, filling, programming and storing them.
- The central station (situated on the transporter’s premises or at the bank headquarters) receives and fills the containers, and programs their final destination.
- The peripheral station : the peripheral docking station is placed in a bank branch or in a store. It receives the container and enables it to recognize its delivery site. Then it allows the container to be opened in a time-locked secure storage phase.
Once the destination has been reached, the security agent selects the location to be delivered on his terminal. The containers to be left at that place check the geographical location of the vehicle, and if it is correct, a light identifies them and their mechanism is unlocked. The security agent can then proceed to remove and deliver the contents to the recipient.
Degradation can be triggered by the following :
- Exceeding the "pavement time" (in the event of theft)
- Unauthorized uplifting (in the event of forced removal from the vehicle or station)
- Forced opening of the container shell (in the event of a break-in)
- Any attempt to drill the container shell (an attempt to neutralize).
Among them, Oberthur Cash Protection offers :
- An « end-to-end » and « static » securization system for ATM. This technology enables to deliver the total number of ATM through all nationwide users networks and to protect their funds against attack or theft attempts during the transit and the storing in ATM.
- A securization system for the delivery of Postal branches (article 22), the Axypost solution.
- An identification system with smart card enabling the customer to unlock the container, the Oberthur Cash Protection system.
