With the chip card rollout looming in the United States, The Wall Street Journal covered what is anticipated to be the biggest rollout of new credit cards in decades. Making a stark comparison between reported credit card fraud in Canada, which rolled out EMV chip cards in 2008 to the United States, the rush to migrate to EMV in the United States is on! In 2014, The United States reported 9 billion dollars in fraud losses, while Canada reported just 53 million Canadian Dollars in 2013. That’s the equivalent of just under 43 million USD.
